I had an excellent time – thank you to your restaurant’s army of staff, from your front of house, to your chefs and wait staff – I felt very well looked after during my banquet (#1) experience.

Food wise, I thought the snacks were amazing, but as the banquet progressed, the use of dried chilli became more and more over powering. My suggestion would be to replace the dumplings and lamb towards the end. While they were great in their own right, next to each other, they did not get a chance to really shine.

Service wise, I had absolutely no complaints personally. I don’t know if it was because I was sitting at the bar, essentially near the kitchen entrance or because I was on a preset banquet menu, but food was delivered at the right pace and I always felt someone was looking after me. However, I cannot say the same for the couple next to me. I had several courses while they waited ages for one – I could tell they were getting restless. They ordered what I probably would had, had I not got the banquet. Knowing what I know now, if I was them, I probably would have left a bit disappointed – only because the time waiting for each dish would have ruined my appreciation of what appears very simple.
