Comme ci, comme ca. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve dined here, but is it terrible that I can only remember a painting of a pug dog’s butt hole and some weirdly extruded corn puree? Anyway, this place is oooookay. The food isn’t mind blowing, but good enough for those with money to burn. We had a good souffle which later motivated my co-diner to consult Google and replicate it at home. Evidently it’s not so hard to do but kudos to Cliche for inspiring us. The other part of dining at a place of this calibre is the design and fit out. Points are given for being brave and skirting that fine line between tacky and hipster. I get it; you’ve called it Cliche so you can get away with all the over the top French references and dad-jokes. Even then, I was still a little disappointed that an inspiration board that included Nick Mitzevich resulted in art that…cliche.
