Predictable, but well produced, shot, acted, soundtracked and ultimately enjoyable movie. The drab Icelandic scenery was a bit disappointing – this is not a tourism piece – but the overall aura was compelling. Achievable on what should be a modest team and budget?
Very short book of short stories. Enjoyable, succinct and at its best, reminiscent of Roald Dahl’s shorts
Loving the slow tempo and depressing lyrics about life after the pandemic
Deep bass, thick and mellow vibes. Makes me sleepy but in a good way
Production design was perfect. Two very strong leads, and some average supporting cast. However was very effective in appealing to the audience’s emotions. First half was better than the second which became too “shouty”
Accomplished, expected and entertaining acoustic set
If I could, I would have purchased the CD. Gay funk pop rap? Don’t know why this resonates with me so much right now, but it feels sunny and joyous
A thrilling and creepy movie with some pretty good child actor performances. Good for a free movie and some entertaining jump scares
I had an excellent time – thank you to your restaurant’s army of staff, from your front of house, to your chefs and wait staff – I felt very well looked after during my banquet (#1) experience. Food wise, I thought the snacks were amazing, but as the banquet progressed, the use of dried chilli […]
Thoroughly enjoyable. Tkay is so cute, so down to earth and so gracious. Great staging too
A movie full of retro cartoon references. Cute and endearing. Like a cross between “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and a Gorillaz music video
Zen to the point of almost being anodyne. But what I need right now
Very cute, very pure, well casted, acted with sincerity and honesty
Every frame is beautiful, relentless in its originality and ambition. It’s absurdness still holds up after all this time
Thoughtful and ambitious album that is tinged with bright melancholic nostalgia
Really fun intimate vibe – rare instance where the live performance is better than the recording
Dancey calypso throwback music. Kinda what I need right now
Haven’t even finished listening to this album and I know I love it
Made me cry. Totally drawn into the world of people and their deep care for each other
This place does a roaring trade on weeknights in the suburbs which is testament to how good it is. No wonder as the food is great and the servings generous. I would suggest going here with a largish group. That way you’ll be able to try more dishes without ending up with too much food. […]
I really enjoyed my meal here. We had the sweet lamb tagine and a rustic mixed grill which were both great – not fancy by any measure but definitely tasty. The restaurant setting is a little dark, but has a unpretentious and eclectic style which gives you plenty to look at. Just as well as […]
First and foremost, absolutely no complaints with the food and service here – both were very good. On the bad side, due to the design of this restaurant, there is a high probability that you will leave with your clothes smelling like your meal. This might be annoying for some, but for me, it was […]
Any place that serves soju and half decent Korean fried chicken until 3am in the morning on a weekend is already pretty awesome in my opinion. Add to that, the comfy and relatively quiet setting and you have a great chill out place. A great place to take mates near the end of a night […]
Honki Tonki is surprisingly good. Good food, in good portions at fair prices. It’s been a while since they’ve first opened, so the trendy and deliberate Asian fit out now has a real authentic and grimy feel. It’s so authentic that you might question whether or not it’s safe to eat here. Don’t worry though! […]
The food here is good, but it’s the service that really made this place stand out for me. I’m not sure if everyone would get the same experience as what me and my dining group had – for us, it felt like we’d been invited into someone’s family home. Food was brought out with evident […]
It was really really really hard for me to go here. If I’m down this end of Hindley Street, it normally means huge chunky Yianni’s Yiros time. With that said, I’m really really really glad I tried Levant Eatery! The food here is excellent and you can tell the owners take great pride in it. […]
The most incredibly light, flaky and tasty spanakopita I’ve ever had served by the cutest old women. I still haven’t managed to try everything here yet, but it’s all been pretty good so far! 1 Helpful vote Location Torrensville
A great, casual lunch place. Decor is possibly on the slightly cold/Spartan side, but with the big round table (capable of seating 9 or so) at the back, this just makes it ideal for something like a big work group lunch break. Imagine having Korean fried chicken for a work lunch! That’s the kind of […]
I think there should be some sort of qualification, similar to a barista when it comes to the use of a deep fryer. You wouldn’t think it, but given the same source materials – oil, frozen chips, battered chicken, so on – you can get wildly different results. For some places, being able to deliver […]
The best thing about this place is the space. Can you imagine? Yum cha in Adelaide that 1) doesn’t involve waiting half an hour past your booking for a spot, 2) not being squeezed into a tiny niche and 3) has clean cutlery and crockery. Amazing. Life changing even. While the perfect number of people […]
Don’t let looks deceive you – or for that matter, the cheap prices – this place serves up generous and high quality seafood meals. Service is always friendly and condiments are free if you eat on site. Yes. That includes unlimited tartare sauce! Just pick a sunny day as you will be eating outside under […]
Finally! A place that actually does good food in this area! You’d think with the number of tourists who come to this area that there would be more competition, but Livefast is among the very few that are actually competent. An oasis in the bush. Location Halls Gap, Halls Gap
People – stop spelling it baHN mi. It’s baNH mi. It’s a Viet dish not a German road. With that out of the way, my review for this place… Crusty bread, fresh ingredients, perfect meat to salad ratio, good pickle flavour plus a whole bunch of side options available. Pretty good all round. Mega points […]
As another reviewer commented, it’s really hard to hate this place. The service is superlatively friendly and the food is good. Not Vietnamese – more just Asian inspired. It knows the area and it’s audience well and has adjusted it’s menu and prices accordingly. Worth going for the service alone. 2 Votes for helpful Location […]
The competitive CBD Vietnamese dining scene has just been dialled up another notch. Expensive fit outs, comprehensive menus, huge servings and now western suburb prices in the city. It’s a little crazy but for less than $20 you will now be able to get a belly bursting amount food – and it’s good food at […]
Very friendly staff, quaint setting and most importantly, very yummy baked desserts and savoury treats. Would please both vegan and non vegan eaters alike. 1 Helpful vote Location Aroha Terrace, Forestville, Adelaide, SA
