The food here is good, but it’s the service that really made this place stand out for me. I’m not sure if everyone would get the same experience as what me and my dining group had – for us, it felt like we’d been invited into someone’s family home. Food was brought out with evident pride and we all made to feel extremely welcome. Not least as we were all given several shots of alcohol! In contrast to the other very consciously trendy places on Peel St, Kaffana is rustic, generous and straight forward. And like dining at your dear ethnic relative’s home, you’re unlikely to have much choice when it comes to food if you’re vegetarian. Definitely a place to go in a big group.
