Amazing and efficient production with great acting, costume and general presentation. Attended this without really knowing what I was getting into which I think is the best type of mindset to have for a Fringe show.
When Rob and I arrived at the Latvian Hall (awesomely named “Tālava”), we were asked to don masks and then entered a hallway where we were greeted by a woman wearing dark, gothic makeup and feathers.
After a commanding monologue addressing the rituals we were about to witness, we were then split off into two rooms. The first room explored desire, the second, fear and in each, we were treated to interactive theatre and dance by lavish and well realised characters.
The most memorable part of the night was when an audience member was asked what they were afraid of and answered “Emus”. It was funny but the actor managed to stay on course and preserve the creepy atmosphere of the room.
Really enjoyable!
