My family went strawberry picking in Hahndorf and dropped by here for a late lunch. Despite it being incredibly busy (even at 2pm), service was fast and the food was excellent – incredibly rich, unashamedly unhealthy but wickedly tasty. My younger cousins, 9 and 5 respectively, really enjoyed the experience and when asked to rate their meals, gave it a 10/10. Cute, but I have to pull rank and deduct points for the setting. While probably outside of the restaurant’s control, I felt accosted by flies the entire time I was at this restaurant. It’s an unfortunate side effect of serving such huge meals as inevitably, people will be unable to finish all their food.
